Applied Data Visualization Systems: React, Redux, and APIs

DESCRIPTION

One of the most popular requests we have at Hack Oregon are from experienced developers who want to learn how to incorporate Data Visualization into modern web applications.

Rather than focusing on customizing one-off visualizations using D3, we’ll be applying React component architecture and managing state using Redux to build interactive data visualizations powered by APIs for reusability, live data sources, and scale.

This 4-week series of interactive applied workshops will overview core principles of how the architecture of the CIVIC Platform supports data visualization at scale using React, Redux, and APIs, and prepare you to apply this knowledge to Hack Oregon’s project season.
